What is llms.txt?
llms.txt is a proposed convention, first published in 2024, for a plain Markdown file at the root of a website that gives language models a concise guide to the site: what it is, and links to the pages that matter most, each with a one-line description.
It is not an official standard, and AI providers have not committed to using it consistently, so treat it as a low-cost, low-risk addition rather than a ranking factor. Its value is that it is a clean, curated map of your site that any tool or model can read.

Where do I put the file?
Save it as llms.txt in the root of your site so it loads at https://yourdomain.com/llms.txt, served as plain text.
Will llms.txt improve my AI visibility?
There is no public evidence that major assistants rank sites higher because of llms.txt. It is a cheap, harmless way to give machines a clean summary of your site.
What is llms-full.txt?
A companion convention containing the full text of key pages in one file. It is useful for documentation sites; most marketing sites only need llms.txt.
Why are some pages missing?
We skip pages that return errors, are marked noindex, are blocked for AI search crawlers in robots.txt, or look like tag, pagination or account pages, and we cap the list at 30.
