What is a credit?
One credit runs one prompt on one AI engine and stores the full answer with its analysis. A project with 10 prompts on 4 engines uses 40 credits per run.
Is this a subscription?
No. Credit packs are one-time purchases and never renew automatically. You only pay again if you choose to buy another pack. Free accounts receive 25 credits on the 1st of each month.
Do credits expire?
Purchased credits are valid for 12 months from purchase. Free monthly credits are valid until the end of the month they are granted in. We always use the credits that expire soonest first.
What if a check fails?
If an engine times out or returns an error, the check is marked as failed and its credit goes straight back to your balance. You never pay for failed checks.
What is your refund policy?
You can request a full refund of any credit pack within 14 days of purchase, provided you have used less than half of its credits. See the Refund Policy for details.
Who processes payments?
Payments are processed by Polar, our Merchant of Record, which handles checkout, sales tax or VAT where applicable, and receipts. Citewise AI never sees or stores your card details. More on our security page.
Are features limited on the free plan?
No. Every account gets every feature, including schedules, alerts, exports and the API. Credits are the only difference.
Can I use credits across several brands?
Yes. Credits belong to your account and work across all your projects, up to 10 brands. Agencies: see use cases or contact us about larger volumes.
